SMS / Text Message Alerts — Privacy
Golden Star Theaters operates an internal text message alert program for management staff. This section describes how mobile phone numbers are handled in that program.
What we collect. Mobile telephone numbers of Golden Star Theaters management employees, held as part of the employee directory maintained for employment purposes. Numbers are not collected from the public and are not collected through any public-facing form.
How we use it. Mobile numbers are used solely to send operational alerts to the manager on duty at a theater location — specifically, notification that a scheduled movie showing has sold no tickets shortly after its start time, so that staff can respond. Numbers are not used for marketing, advertising, or promotional messaging of any kind.
Sharing. We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers. Mobile information is shared only with our messaging service provider strictly for the purpose of delivering these messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency. Frequency varies by location and by day, based on the theater’s showtime schedule. A manager typically receives fewer than 20 messages during a shift.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. Employees may disable these alerts at any time from within the internal management application, or by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
